We address the various issues regarding land use regulations, development, and permit approval by collaborating closely with government agencies and you the applicant. We understand the complex zoning codes and what the various jurisdictions require for application submittal. We are able to represent you at quasi-judicial hearings.

Amy Gunter is a professional Land Use Planner that specializes in urban land use permitting and development. She is passionate about planning for growth, affordable housing, adequate, multi-modal transportation all with a focus on environmental protections, tree preservation, riparian zone protections and restoration and wetland rehabilitation.
Amy grew up on a dairy farm along the Minnesota River in Mankato, MN with a state park and acres of land to roam, yet very near a rapidly growing, evolving city. Amy participated in 4-H for many years showing her dairy cows. Amy graduated from Mankato West in 1997.
After moving to Ashland Oregon in 1997, Amy graduated from Southern Oregon University (SOU) in Ashland, Oregon with a Bachelors of Science degree in Geography, a Land Use Planning minor and an Anthropology minor. While at SOU, Amy served with Ameri-Corps at the SOU embedded Regional Ecosystems Applied Learning (REAL) Corps. REAL Corps. involved classroom instruction and service learning projects in the field using the various ecological, biological, environmental knowledge from class. Amy participated in the construction and rehabilitation of trail systems throughout the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management owned properties throughout Southern Oregon. Some of the most memorable were the creation of fish habitat at Applegate Lake, Fish Lake trail building through the lava fields of Brown Mountain, and packing in saws and other equipment to hand clear trails in the Red Buttes Wilderness.
She spent 10 years as a city planner for a local jurisdiction before beginning Rogue Planning and Development Services, LLC in July 2015. She uses her passion for good planning, knowledge of local zoning codes and state laws and regulations to assist her clients through the somewhat extensive land use process.
Amy is an active board member of the Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity and serves on the Habitat's Building Board. Amy previously served on the Medford National Little League Board of Directors.
Amy is married to Jason Gunter and they have two wonderful children and two dogs and currently reside in Medford.
